Biography

Nissi Madu is currently the Practice Lead, Education at Co-Creation Hub Limited (CcHUB), where she leads its programmes and products focused on leveraging technology to improve learning outcomes particularly in STEM Education across Nigeria and Kenya. One of such programmes is the Go-Labs Goes Africa (GO-GA) funded by the European Commission focused on accelerating the adoption of richer learning environments implemented in 7 African countries with over 30,000 students, 700 Teachers and 200 schools. She also currently leads the Safe Online with Facebook programme which has empowered over 20,000 students, teachers and parents across 15 cities in Nigeria with the knowledge and skills required to stay safe while exploring the internet. She has over 7 years of experience working in the education technology sector, with a focus on the use of technology to improve access to interactive, engaging and quality content in the education sector.

She is an alumnus of the Carrington Youth Fellowship Initiative (CYFI) and The Siemens Stiftung/Do School Education Challenge Africa where she worked on Maths Simplified – a project aimed at improving students’ understanding of mathematics in Nigeria through the development of interactive DVD and designed a sustainable distribution model for Experimento in Africa, a product aimed at improving students’ understanding and interest in STEM subjects.
